While I know this video got passed around the Interweb by almost the entire world yesterday – I saw it just when I had to leave for work in the morning, so I wasn’t able to publish it – I just have to make sure this gets thrown up on SQ. If you’re one of our faithful SQ regulars, you’re probably well aware of my deep affinity for anything Goldeneye; a while back I posted a Goldeneye 64 speed run challenge on 00 Agent (the Aztec bonus level), but still am waiting on a brave challenger. Goldeneye, just like Jimmy said in the beginning of this awesome video, is hands down one of the best video games of all time, and I would be hard pressed to not drop it in my top three. If you grew up with a Nintendo 64, you likely spent most of your time playing Goldeneye – do not pass up on this video!
In case you missed The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, we’re here to bring you up to speed with possibly the funniest thing Brian Williams has ever done on television (okay technically this is just an epic montage, but you know what I mean). I have no idea how long this video took to compile – months? – but the end result, Brian Williams rapping the fabled “Gin and Juice”, is just simply awesomeness wrapped up into a 71 second funny video. Yes, he’s been great on his 30 Rock cameo appearances, but this Gin and Juice rap video now takes the cake – don’t pass this one up!
If you’re like me and travel just about every week for work, then you have probably heard the token flight attendant safety speech and demonstration so many times you could say it entirely verbatim in your sleep. I personally prefer the Tommy Boy rendition (“he’s a big, dumb animal folks!”), but this Southwest Airlines flight attendant did an awesome job that would make even me put down my iPhone or book to listen! Word on the Internet comment street is that she staged this to try and get on the Ellen show and/or The Tonight Show, and with this many video views I would say she’s got a great shot.
Jimmy Fallon is all over the entertainment news headlines these days after the Tonight Show transition has become official. For those of you living under a rock, Jimmy Fallon will be taking over the Tonight Show reigns in about one year, in Spring 2014. Anyone else besides me think Conan O’Brien is a little irked at all of this? And how hilarious would it be if Jay Leno decides he wants to come out of retirement again to play host again? I’ve been a fan of all three gentlemen, although if I had to go with one it would probably be Conan. The attached video is a classic from last summer with Jimmy Fallon as The Doors sing the old school Reading Rainbow theme music.
