Jimmy Fallon Plays Goldeneye 64 with Pierce Brosnan

While I know this video got passed around the Interweb by almost the entire world yesterday – I saw it just when I had to leave for work in the morning, so I wasn’t able to publish it – I just have to make sure this gets thrown up on SQ.  If you’re one of our faithful SQ regulars, you’re probably well aware of my deep affinity for anything Goldeneye; a while back I posted a Goldeneye 64 speed run challenge on 00 Agent (the Aztec bonus level), but still am waiting on a brave challenger.  Goldeneye, just like Jimmy said in the beginning of this awesome video, is hands down one of the best video games of all time, and I would be hard pressed to not drop it in my top three. If you grew up with a Nintendo 64, you likely spent most of your time playing Goldeneye – do not pass up on this video!

Archer Danger Zone Music Video

I still meet people who have not watched Archer, or maybe a better way to phrase it – I have still met people who haven’t even heard of Archer.  Can you believe it?  What’s that?  You have no idea what show I’m talking about?  Yes, it’s a television show; it airs on FX, and the next season is coming in two months this January.  If you like sarcasm, voice-overs from Saturday Night Live actors (from when that show was actually good), and James Bond-type spy/secret agent stuff, then Archer is right up your alley.  It is absolutely hilarious, and one of my favorites; the next season cannot come soon enough.  As a teaser for the upcoming season, FX just released the hilarious music video spoof you see above from the movie Top Gun’s most-memorable soundtrack tune, Danger Zone.  This is a must-see, and so is Archer this coming January.

The Best of Archer Video Compilation

According to the show’s creator, Adam Reed, “Archer” can be described as “James Bond meets Arrested Development”.  As a huge fan of both, I can emphatically say that if you haven’t seen this incredibly hilarious show yet, you’re wrong.  Since its inception in 2010, Archer has stormed up the ratings charts not only on FX, but on television, and just recently completed its fourth season on the air, with a fifth already signed and on the books.  That’s news that makes this guy smile.

Real Life Goldeneye 64 Video

Like my eloquent sidekick mentioned in our “what the heck is slightlyqualified.com page“, I have an affinity for Goldeneye 64, and by affinity I mean addiction.  I don’t know how I missed this extremely well done parody of the game, especially seeing how it already has more than 1M views, but I’d wager if I haven’t seen it, then others haven’t either.  Enjoy the awesome Goldeneye 64 parody video, and hit the link below for more behind the scenes footage!

Goldeneye Challenge: Aztec on 00 Agent, Under 8:45

Goldeney 007 for the legendary Nintendo 64 stands as arguably the greatest game of all-time, at least from this guy’s opinion.  At the very least, Rare’s epic Bond title will hold a permenent spot in my Top 5 Greatest Games List, and likely most everyone else’s as well (it had better!)  But enough of the grab-ass; let’s move on to the challenge!  Hit the link below for the challenge details, and pull your N64 out of the attic, because it’s Boris time.
