Edge of Tomorrow Trailer

Tom Cruise is racking up quite a sci fi portfolio: Oblivion, Minority Report, Vanilla Sky…Top Gun. What’s that? Top Gun isn’t sci fi? You saw how he looked shirtless. Out of this world…

One month from today, Edge of Tomorrow hits theaters. While I’m not sure if I’m sold on Emily Blunt as an action star (thinking of The Five Year Engagement and day-old donuts), she at least doesn’t smile all that much in the trailer, and that builds a sense of actual suspense. Like our other 2014 movie trailers – we’re hoping for the best and expecting for the worst. Or pretty close to it. Continue reading “Edge of Tomorrow Trailer”

Red 2 Movie Trailer

Everyone has at least one or two movies that you weren’t able to catch in theaters, and for whatever reason they still remain elusive.  Red, which originally debuted in 2010 and starred Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, is one of those movies, and now I am in “urgent watch” mode because Red 2, with its official trailer above, will hit theaters this coming July.  There’s still plenty of time, but this now series looks too good to pass up.  John Malkovich looks hysterical, and Anthony Hopkins looks like he may be making a Tom Cruise/Les Grossman cameo/supporting actor … okay, maybe not Les Grossman-good, but it looks like Hannibal Lector may be stealing the show.  Looking forward to July!

Oblivion Movie Trailer

No, this has nothing to do with the popular video game series from Bethesda (which I could never really get into; first-person RPG’s and me usually don’t mix), but it does look like it will be pretty stellar.  On April 19th, Tom Cruise is back on the big screen alongside Morgan Freeman and former-Bond girl Olga Kurylenko in what looks to be a very cool, post-apocalyptic, fight-for-Earth, sci-fi thriller.

No this is not based on the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion role playing game, but it does look pretty awesome if you enjoy a good sci-fi thriller.  Starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, and former-Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, the film is set well into a post-apocalyptic future on earth as Tom Cruise attemps to figure out where he remembers his past, fights off what appears to be an always impressive alien counter-attack, and put the moves on Olga with his special forces, “operator special”, Yankees baseball hat.  Oblivion lands in theaters in less than thirty days on April 19th; enjoy the trailer, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
