What will you be doing eleven days from now? In just about a week and a half, a new high school comedy (yes, another one) will be hitting movie theaters, and just might turn out to be one of those diamonds in the rough. The flick is called “The Secret Lives of Dorks”, and while you’ll probably have to Google the main cast, it does feature Jennifer Tilly, Mike Ditka (da Bears!), and the Jim Belushi. I will tell you this: if you put a Belushi in a comedy film, I will seriously consider throwing down a few Lincolns at the theater to watch it on the big screen. So what did you think? The Mike Ditka appearance in the trailer is likely his entire cameo in the film, but he does add some great star power, and Jim Belushi – well, there’s nothing more to say about that guy. This high school, nerd falls in love with the hot cheerleader movie plot has been done over, and over, and over again, but it will always be relevant, and will always sell tickets. My initial reaction from the Secret Lives of Dorks movie trailer is when I saw the trailer for “Sex Drive” years ago: the cast was almost all new faces, save Seth Green, but it ended up being one of those legitimate diamonds in the rough. We’ll post more trailers as they come out – if they do with a week or so left -, but in the meantime drop us your initial reactions below!
